Heroes account wide, and more...
You all know the pain of equip your heroes, runes, insignia, weapons, etc...
Some people like me enjoys playing all sides of the game, and dont focus on a main, that involves having 1 toon of each primary proffesion (10) every one of them with their respective 27 heroes each, to rune and equip 27 heroes is a hard task, but for 27*10 270 heroes?? are you kidding me, thats just insane, i have a life and it is not for playing GW 24/7.
My suggestion is simple, make heroes account wide, so we only need to rune each of them only 1 time, i think having to rune 27 bots is more than enough.
Part 2 of the suggestion:
Allow to rune PVE heroes, same way we are allowed to rune PVP heroes, as you know, when you create a PVP char, when adding a hero, you can choose what runes their armor wil have. Why don't do the same for PVE?
Part 3 and better:
Of course you can put this new improvement in the online store and rip our wallets with a nice micro-pause to laugh-transaction of 49.99$.

It would encourage me to play more then just my main character. if I didn't have to transfer weapons and stuff ever time I decided to play some one else.
But i honestly can't see this happening so don't get your hopes to high

I don't see an issue...
heros can be equipped with drops. Surely you get more than enough drops to have a weapon for every hero on every character.
"aw...but I want a VS or BDS on every hero! QQ, QQ, QQ!"

Not a good idea for me.. my heroes are specced to support and work with the main they are used by.
My rit uses an entirely different Xandra than my other chars do for example.
I use different derv builds all the time, dont want every hero locked into the same build either.
The current build system is flexible and adds to the ingame economy.

actually to simply rune and equip 27 heroes takes playing through the game. There are plenty of max damage gold weapons that drop through the normal play through of all the campaigns as well as plenty of salvageable armor. Since to get all the heroes you need to put in a lot of time for that character, coming up with the weapons and money to buy the runes you haven't found shouldn't be a problem at all.
This just sounds lazy to me. I also have 1 of each primary profession and they are all runed up and have the weapons they need to function. yeah some of the are not the most desirable skins but the stats are right and that is all that matters.

I see no reason for this....I have more than 27 characters with most having heroes equipped with drops along the way (or bonus items or collector items)...not that I use MOST of the heroes anyways--so I equipped the ones I use the most first (and if I got runes they could not use put them on 2ndary heroes). I dont think I have ever even used some of the heroes (anton and goren come to mind) .

I would like to have an easier way to change the runes on heroes (and my characters for that matter). In stead of salvaging them and keeping them - just unlock them for future use after they are applied once.

While it's a cool idea, i'm with Lasai on this one. I like being able to set up my heros differently on each character, different runes to go with different build styles that supplement my character well. If heros were account-wide i think it would negate any need for me to play any secondary characters through content, I would just run to elite areas and be done with it.

Apart from the things stated above, how would you upgrade from the current system? The easiest option is that after the update the heroe's runs would be erased, but it would cause a outcry in the community. They could set it so that it matches the primary character's heroes, but what about if you don't have a hero runed on that char but you do on another one? Or what about the lost unes from other heroes? This is nearly impossible to implement.

i can't see this being worthwhile. For most areas heroes don't even need runes or any weapon beyond what they come with.
If you want all your heroes to have the best of the best, then you should pay for it.

account wide heros? really? maybe if they already have them unlocked.. even then the quoted segment makes it work. so /notsigned to the OP's post. i could see it getting abuse "omg i have discord on my lvl 1 paragon!"

The mercenary equipment and runes system was poorly and thoughtlessly implemented.
Kitting out so many heroes is a major gold and time sink on the behalf of those who forked over real cash.
Can't we have some sort of NPC who makes generic pvp-style stuff for them? Of course it would be non-salvagable, non-transferable, boring skinned stuff?
This is the one thing that's annoying me about mercenaries.

Why?
Because unlike 99% of the game I kit out my heroes depending on what char I play and my playstyle with that char. So the runes and equipment I want on one char is not the same I want on another. And then it kindof sucks cowballs to switch characters.
If you wanna make something account wide, make it the reputation titles. Cause right now I feel incredibly locked in to my main having to grind 2-3 weeks in order to get my other chars to the same level. To be thats a far bigger dealbreaker for the several heroes problem then anything else

I have always thought that Heroes should get a PvP-style gearing system. I mean, if they take their share out of the loot WE earn, WE shouldn't have to pay for their stuff. Also, that would make getting the right gear for them a little less of a pain (and make runes cheaper for everybody).

This would be awesome. Instead of a "PvP Equipment" button, have a "Hero Equipment" button and equipment templates, with the same functionality as the PvP versions.
The ability to save and instantly load a rune/weapon setup for each hero. Bliss.
Of course, you'd still be able to give them all BDSs or whatever, if that floats your boat.
